Program overview
A program you design from the ground up
This is Day Lily’s personalized approach taken to its fullest. Instead of starting from one focus area, you begin with a blank page and a big question: What is God calling you toward, and what would you need to learn to get there? From there, you and your mentor design a coherent, self-directed plan — drawing freely across Bible, theology, ministry, counseling, and the liberal arts.
It’s ideal for students with a specific vision that crosses the usual lines: someone blending ministry and counseling, theology and writing, missions and leadership, or discipleship and the arts. If you’ve ever been told “that’s not a major,” this is for you.
How we build it together
- Discern. We start with your calling, questions, and goals — and pray over the direction.
- Design. Your mentor helps you choose courses, readings, and projects into a unified plan.
- Study. You work through it at your own pace, with regular guidance and feedback.
- Adjust. As you grow and your sense of calling sharpens, we refine the plan with you.

Who it’s for
Visionaries, integrators, and self-starters — students who know the intersection they’re called to and want the freedom to pursue it with real guidance and structure.
Where it can lead
Wherever your calling points. Because the plan is built around your goals from the start, it’s often the most directly useful path a student can take. You can earn a Bachelor of Arts or Associate of Arts in your individualized area of study — or a certificate for shorter study.
