Computing & Technology

Learn to build with code and work with data — online, and with wisdom.

Program overview

Practical, entry-level computing — done thoughtfully

Software and data shape nearly every part of modern life — which makes learning to build and use them both a great opportunity and a real responsibility. This program gives you a solid, entry-level foundation in computing that you can complete entirely online, with just a computer and an internet connection. No special labs or costly equipment required.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, a self-taught coder filling in the gaps, or a ministry or nonprofit worker who needs practical tech skills, your mentor will help you build a plan that fits — and we’ll keep asking the deeper questions, too: not just can we build it, but should we, and how do we use these tools well?

What you’ll explore

  • Programming fundamentals in Python and beyond
  • Web development and building real applications
  • Data, databases, and an introduction to analytics
  • IT and networking fundamentals; cybersecurity basics
  • The mathematics behind computing — and the ethics of technology

Sample courses & study modules

Your plan is assembled from modules like these — chosen and sequenced with your mentor:
