The Day Lily Research Fund
We believe the pursuit of truth honors God
Day Lily is, first and foremost, a teaching community. But our love of learning doesn’t stop at the classroom — and neither does our conviction that all truth is God’s truth. That shows up in two ways: real research opportunities for our own undergraduates, and grants and resources for Christian scholars beyond our walls.
While we don’t operate laboratories of our own, we love to come alongside faithful believers who do. Through the Day Lily Research Fund, we provide grants, resources, and encouragement to Christian scientists and scholars — helping careful, honest research flourish in fields well beyond the ones we teach.
For our students
Research starts as an undergraduate
You don’t have to wait for graduate school to do real research. At Day Lily, undergraduates — especially in the sciences, math, and computing — are invited into the work from early on.
- Mentored research projects guided one-on-one by a working scientist or scholar.
- A capstone project in your area — theoretical, computational, data-driven, or field-based, so no wet lab is required.
- Student research grants from the Day Lily Research Fund to help support your work.
- An annual online research symposium where students present their findings.
It’s hands-on experience that strengthens graduate-school applications — and, more importantly, forms you as a careful, curious scholar who does honest work for the glory of God.
